My Journey
rewriting a new path…
Hi, I’m JJ, and welcome to my world! My passion for dance began at the age of 10. When I was disengaged and getting into all kinds of trouble, I got hooked on street dance by watching Music videos and films on TV, and my story took a new direction. From those early steps, I began entering talent competitions and was eventually recruited to a sage school, setting me on the path toward professional training. I later moved to London, where I trained at top studios and discovered the original funk styles at Breakstation Studios. Immersed in the competition scene, I refined my skills in locking, popping, and other street dance styles. My journey continued with a scholarship to TTC Theatre College and teacher training at the Royal Academy of Dance, preparing me for a professional career in the industry.
Person centered
Today, I bring all of this experience into my teaching. I work with dancers of all ages and abilities, including neurodivergent learners, helping them build technical skill, creativity, and confidence. Through private lessons, workshops, training camps, and online classes, I guide students to unlock their potential and shine in both the studio and on stage.
“JJ was awesome to work with… Highly skilled and an expert in his feild!”
